Kwa said nothing as I was intrigued more by his heartbeat. I dont remember hearing him breathe, nor having a heartbeat, which is why it seemed true that he was, in fact, a demon. But now
Kwas face was hard and tense as he stared ahead, walking to my house. I stared at it and noticed his skin around his cheeks and ears getting redder. I now realized he was blushing. Kwas brown eyes jerked downwards into mine for a second, and then he looked back ahead with the same tense look. His heartbeat caught my attention again and I moved my left hand toward it in a strange sense of curiousity. My hand had a fraction of the same longing that my right arm had to Alice, Anthony, and Joe after they died.
Kwa stopped dead in his tracks and let me down. I barely gathered myself when he said, Looks like you can walk now.
I looked around, and I wasnt at my house yet. I was about a block away.
Why are you
?
He only stared at me again with his tense and piercing, yet soft brown eyes. I realized his clothes looked like they practically had holes in them. They werent even a full black now, more of a gray color. He blinked and looked at his clothes. His face seemed to say, Whats wrong with me?
Mrs. Hart, I leave you now, this is a problem I can solve myself.
I frowned. He had doubt in his voice. He frowned at my thought, but said nothing, only backing away and dissappearing. I turned to walk to my home, wondering what his rush was anyway, and realizing he wasnt carrying me to my house like this to bring me home quickly than if I walked myself
There was another reason
Raow? I stopped and looked down at my feet. The black cat with golden eyes stared up at me in complete curiosity.
Well, hello. I knelt down and started petting her as she rubbed against my leg. I sighed as her black coat of fur made me think of Kwas faded cloak.
After a few moments of silence and petting, we walked to my house together. Time had unfrozen, as proven by the cat, unless that cat can move in frozen time, as it seems special in the other spiritual ways. As I arrived home, I turned to the cat.
You cant come inside
Im allergic to you in my real body. Im really sorry
She left obediently and I went through the door and up the stairs to my room. I glanced at Jerrys bedroom door as I walked past, wondering what he was dreaming about. I stared at the model airplane as I walked in my room, and then I went to my body, sleeping on the bed and wondered what I would soon be dreaming about.
I would soon find out.
I put my hand over my heart and was sucked into the dream.
